Treasure Island
Josh provided sound design, operation and custom software development for the show. This included provision of hardware and software to manage a DMX-controlled animatronic parrot, triggered by a stage-side microphone. Josh also provided portable speaker equipment suitable for use with wireless IEM equipment for vocals, and modified the parrot to operate on replacable batteries and wireless DMX.
You may think you know the story of Treasure Island, but you’ve never seen it like this! Jago Hazzard plays fast and loose with his creative licence in his silly retelling of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic.
Jim Hawkins negotiates sailing the high seas with Squire Trelawney, Long John Silver and his parrot, and plenty of other mad characters he meets along the way… hectic adventure, swashbuckling pirates, and terrible puns, what more could you want for the school holidays?
Treasure Island ran at Hampton Hill Theatre between the 25th and 29th October.
You can read more about the show and see additional production photography on the Hampton Hill Theatre website.
