Stephen Dolginoff’s new musical lands at Hampton Hill Theatre. Blending historical fact, a splash of fiction, a dose of comedy, and plenty of music, ‘Panic’ tells the incredible, behind-the-scenes story of Orson Welles’ notorious 1938 radio adaptation of H G Wells’ The War of the Worlds. Many Americans tuning in mistakenly believed that the drama was a news report declaring a real invasion from Mars! Was it an accident, or was it Welles’ plan all along, so as to get a ticket to fame in Hollywood?

Panic - A Live Radio Musical ran from the 30th January to the 2nd February 2024. It won the award for Best Ensemble at the 2024 Richmond Arts Swan Awards. You can find out more about the production and see production photography on the Hampton Hill Theatre website.
